Salida Colorado is one of the best kept secrets in the State of Colorado. Salida boasts an array of activities that can be enjoyed by families, groups or couples on their Colorado Vacation. Salida is surrounded by 14,000 feet mountains that make the Continental Divide; all the water on the west runs west to the Colorado River and on to the Pacific Ocean while all the water on the east runs east to the Arkansas River and on to the Atlantic Ocean.
The Arkansas River is the MOST popular stretch of white water in the United States; people come from all over the world to test their skills rafting and kayaking the many whitewater rapids on this Colorado River.
Salida is home to around 6,000 people who come from all over the country. Salida is one of the most popular artist communities in the state. There are many galleries and working studios to explore in Salida.
