The Vail valley includes Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon and Minturn. Vail
Colorado is home to the famed Vail Ski Resort as well as it's sister resort,
Beaver Creek. The Vail valley is sandwiched between the bustling Interstate 70
and the Eagle River.
Vail Ski Resort is a part of the Sawatch Range which stretches for 100 glorious miles from Marshall Pass to the Eagle River, and contains 15 of
Colorado's forty eight 14,000 ft Peaks. It is one of the largest
resorts in North America and is known for it's giant back bowls.
Ski Cooper offers private snowcat tours with bowls that rival Vails famous lift served slopes. As
the crow flies, Ski Cooper is a very short distance from Vail Ski
Resort. Both ski areas are in the Sawatch Mountain range which stretches
for 100 glorious miles from Marshall Pass near Salida to the
Eagle River. If you're looking for a change of pace from the high profile Vail valley, Ski Cooper is only an hour drive from the Vail Valley and can be reached by traveling south on highway 24 from Minturn or by going south on highway 91 from I-70 at Copper Mountain.
